Awkward Productions' Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story will return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for a special four-day limited run this summer.

The production, which enjoyed a sold-out run at the Fringe last year, as well as a U.K. tour and London residency, combines drag, multimedia, audience interaction, puppetry, and queer joy. The show will play Pleasance Courtyard August 20 through 24.

Written, directed, and produced by Linus Karp (who will also be appearing at the 2024 Fringe as Gwyneth Paltrow in the viral musical ripped from the headlines, Gwyneth Goes Skiing), the cult hit offers a camp portrayal of The People's Princess and the other royals, highlighting Diana's groundbreaking stances on social and queer issues. Karp will again star as Diana.

Said Karp, 鈥淒oing this show at the Fringe 2023 changed our lives. I can not wait to experience being a Princess at the most Diconic festival in the world once again this Summer.鈥

Karp will be joined onstage by the rest of the production's original Fringe cast, including Joseph Martin as Charles and Camilla, Geri Allen as The Queen, and Zina Badran as God.

Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story features co-directing, puppeteering, and stage management by Joseph Martin, design by Amy Pitt, choreography by Sam Carlyle, composing and graphic design by Wez Maddocks, LX design by Ebbe Rodtborg, additional LX design by James Appleby, photography and videography by Dave Bird, video editing by Daniel Boylett, drag and makeup by Carrot, and puppetry consulting by Tara Boland.
